Check out Revere Academy. Alan Revere is a world famous gold and silversmith and has had a school in San Francisco for more than 20 years. They recently - in the last couple of years - opened a school on the East side of the continent. Sorry, a tiny joke... His school is staffed by expert, practicing artists. AND I'M DYING TO GO THERE!! His book "Professional Goldsmithing" was required reading (and a project) at University.
