Learn & Promote Your Jewelry Making Here.

An increasing number of potential customers either don't have Internet access at all or prefer not to buy online. We have yet to find a way to create catalogs that aren't ridicously expensive for us to produce, seeing as how we carry items from other suppliers in addition to the jewelry we make. How do you show off the items you have available to offline customers? Have you found ways to create catalogs that aren't too pricey?

Hi Amanda,
I, too, am looking for ways to show my creations to those who do not have internet access, or would prefer not to shop online.
Maybe we could create a catelog, sell it for....hummm $5-10 bucks and they could get a refund if they make a purchase or refer a friend??

Or, create a mini-flyer, with a sampling of our work, directing them back to our web-site, or contacting us by phone, if they are serious shoppers?

Or, host a jewelry party and provide a few catelogs or photos, to spark interest??

I keep a stash on me at all times and I'm always ready to sell off my person!!

Just my initial thoughts and thanks for asking!

These are great ideas, Cherrie! I especially like the idea of the price of the catalog being refunded with an order.

I have not created a "catalogue" but I guess you could use photoshop and create sheets of thumnails that you could print, for your clients to see. Otherwise, I think a great thing to do is to take part in a show/craft fair, or jewelry party where potential clients will be able to see, try and buy the "real" thing

I have otherwise got a few postcards with my work on
and a few of my friends have got Moo cards.

I hope this helps

For your own jewelry you can make a scrapbook. You can upload photos of your jewelry to a site like shutterfly and create a book. You can include info about each piece. While this isn't really a catalog that you can just give out, it does give a portfolio that you can carry with you.
