I need your help...
I will be participating in my first art show, as a vendor (yay!).
Besides my designs, what else should I bring??
I've got some ideas, and would like to create a 'check-list' of MUST HAVES.
They are only providing a table.
Not sure about electricity.
Thanks for your consideration!!
I'll let you know how it goes....I'm so excited!!
Cherries.

Cherries, The list is LONG! You need all your display things, office equipment, cooler to bring drinks and lunch as it is hard to leave your booth, hand wipes, extra tags, tools to set up your tent with, etc, etc. Don't forget your receipt books, pens, and a credit card machine. For a complete list and a really great resource, check for Rena Klingenberg's book: Ultimate Guide to Your Profitable Jewelry Booth. I found it invaluable! (And no, I don't work for her...ha!). Here is a link to the book. http://www.lulu.com/content/paperback-book/ultimate-guide-to-your-p.... She takes you through every aspect of setting up a booth. Best of luck! Lisa

All the things Lisa said and:

Mirrors ( at least one hand held)
Cotton balls and rubbing alcohol - some will want to try on earrings, you will need to clean them
biz cards
notebook for collecting emails

I'm sure there is more!

Yes and thank you!!
I'll take a look at Rena's...I find lots of great info on her site, as well.

Good suggestion on taking things to keep me hydrated..

OK,,,just got home from my FIRST craft/art fair!!
First the good news.....thanks to everyone's help, I was prepared.
I think my table looked pretty good.
Let's just rewind....briefly>>
I went to bed at 10pm and tossed/turned until 4am!!!!
Slepts 2 hours.
Got up a 6am, as I needed to be there by 8am.
Ah, so here begins my "Master Card" commercial>>>>
As I was taking a shower, I notice the water was ankle-deep.
Clogged pipes.....augghhh!!
As I was blow-drying my hair,,,,I blew a fuse.
Hair looks like "Weird Al-Yanko".
Leave 30 minutes late.
BF is diabetic, so we need to stop at McDonald's to grab breakfast.
Today is senior-citizen day.....Yippee for me!
Now I'm an hour late.
Fast-forward to the end of the show>>>
Booth rental??
$100 bucks
Total jewelry sales?
$60.00
Speeding ticket on the way back home?
$125.00
PRICELESS....

Note: Please feel free to laugh, as I am hysterical.

Don't forget a table cloth to decorate the table too. It's all about presentation. Cash to make change.

I was hoping that my sales were enough to buy/make a custom made table cloth (with my shop name). Most had generic plain, simple colored sheets. Some had really nice felt cut-outs of their name, sewn on. Even though I ended my day with a speeding ticket, I am still anticipating the next fair.
Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Yep, a hundred bucks! The table was 8 feet...but the rental fee went towards supporting the local high school, so it was for a good cause.
