If you sell your designs to stores, how do you go about approaching store owners about selling your products?

Hi Amanda,
First create a press kit, including brief introduction, description of work, selling terms ie: n30, c.o.d.,piece minimums etc., wholesale price sheet and a photo spread sheet.
Make sure your designs would be something that your target store would sell. You can mail your kits to potential buyers and then make follow up calls, call make an appointment with buyer, or visit and drop off a kit and follow up.

Wow that was so thorough Kandio! And so timely! I will be having my first trunk shows this summer and I was just wondering what I should have in my press kit. Thank you so much! Question (because I'm still getting used to the language) is cod cost of delivery?

Thanks!

When I worked at the Hardware store I wore some of the jewelry I made , and people would compliment me. One day a lady complimented me and I told her that I made it after thanking her. She said that she would like some of them in her shop. That is how I hooked up with her and her 2 shops.
Last fall I became unemployed, had some yard sales which included my jewelry and wind chimes. A lady came to the yard sale and said that she liked my things and that she could sell my stuff at the train depo just several blocks away from here. Just get a hold of her after the first of the year. So now that is how I got into that place of selling my things.
Both places have their own way of how they do it, but it all works for me.

I also have 2 websites;

Well, one of the stores contacted me thru www.acambiode.com, they are located in a very exclusive zone here in Costa Rica, the other is not a store but is a hair salon, belongs to friend's sister and she loves my jewelry so, she decided to sell my products to her clients with great success.
