How are your Etsy shops doing since the economy decline?

I haven't had many sales, though I've seen others selling 2-3 items a day. Still working on trying to get my shop out there for people to see, trying to get better pictures and descriptions. Ive been working on some new designs as well. It's all been such a wonderful learning experience that I haven't minded the slow sales.

I'm selling an item about every week or two! Its a fun site that I enjoy, but not for making a living! I think doing some local art shows would be better.

Both of my shops are not seeing many sales. In one shop I've only have 3 sales since opening the first of January! My other shop has been doing a bit better but not much. I'm going to keep plugging along on them though!

Well...the word "sale" isn't in my shop vocabulary..lol..But I'm hopeful. Kind of have to be. :)

I checked out your shop Joanne, you have some interesting items, especially your barrett holders, try re listing an item daily, maybe around noon or late evening. Your photos look like you have been using a flash, I would simplify my backgrounds and use natural outdoor light. good luck! Kandi-o designs

I haven't had many sales on Etsy at all since I started almost a year ago. My views are up and consistent but no sales. On the otherhand I have a shop on 1000 markets and my sales have been great despite the fact that the site gets way less traffic.

That's weird. I just took a look at your Etsy shop and you have some beautiful jewelry! I've been thinking about trying 1000 markets. How do you like it?

I have not met anyone really who has sold a large amount of anything on Etsy in a short period of time, I've seen the shops with 1000's of items sold, but they have been with Etsy since the beginning. I had about six ads out last week and was featured on a community site, I sold 6 pcs. last week on Etsy.
How is 1000 markets? I'm with Silkfair,MIM and Lovli not much going on with them. Kandio

I sold 2 pieces yesterday and I'm not sure if it's because I've been tweeting!

Well, some times I make a sale but no too often. I post everyday in the forums and do twitter wich rise my views but no the sales. But I love etsy so I will keep trying.
