As 2008 draws to a close, I am thinking about how bad the year has been to me, at least on etsy it has. I had two sales for the entire year and they were both PIF give-aways. I tried all of the advertising and promoting that I could but still with no results. I was beginning to think that my jewelry was not good enough to sell to people...until I tried setting up at a craft show on Dec 6&7th. I sold more that weekend than I did all of 2007 and 2008 on etsy. I am not giving up on online sales...that is why I am on artfire (http://claytiger.artfire.com)...but I am really starting to love direct sales at shows.
