I had mentioned before about the custom order I've received to design china from a customer's Blue Willow china platter. This china belonged to her aunt whom she loved and admired greatly. Unfortunately, the platter fell off the top of the refrigerator and broke into far too many pieces to salvage. The customer has requested that I design jewelry from the china for her to give her relatives this Christmas. Since it is a Christmas order, I hadn't done anything with the china when it arrived. But…

Remember the Irish shamrock teapot that I blogged about recently? Well, it's now quite a few pieces of Irish jewelry! The was one of the hardest pieces of china that I've yet worked on. By hard, I don't mean difficult - just hard china! Whoever cracked that teapot in the first place must have dropped it from a plane! It took all the strength I had to break it into pieces. But what lovely pieces they were - so smooth and shiny.
I've made some matching sets but each piece is available separately…

In addition to the new broken Waterford crystal jewelry that I just wrote about, which would make wonderful Valentine's Day gifts, I also just added these new pieces to my
website.
First, there is this white sea glass pendant. This is authentic sea glass, not tumbled glass, and was found on the Jersey Shore many years ago. It's a flawless piece of sea glass, not a blemish anywhere. And it's in the shape of a heart! All naturally formed…

A few weeks ago, I wrote about a custom order that I had finished for a customer and posted the photo of the wire crochet necklace and pendant that I made for her. I mentioned that there was more to the story but it had to wait until after Christmas so no surprises would be ruined.

We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves.
The book is called Opportunity and
its first chapter is New Year's Day.
Edith Lovejoy Pierce
Nice thought, isn't it? A whole new book that we have the chance to write ourselves. May the new book that you write for yourself this coming year turn out exactly the way you want it to. May all the opportunities and blessings the world has to offer be yours for the taking. May much success, good h…

I just haven't been able to find the time to blog about any of my custom orders but I would like to tell you about my latest one. Most of the story is going to have to wait until after Christmas though! But this is one piece that I can share with you.
This is a yellow rose pendant made from Bella Lux china. The young lady loved the one her mom bought so, since I did have another piece of the same china, I offered to make something similar for her. She asked for lots of wire flourishes so I flou…
